Talos Energy Inc. is an independent seismic exploration source for gas and oil. The leaders, experienced men, and women who made their living in the oil and gas industries are the President, Vice President, Board of Directors and the chairmen and women.
Each member dedicated his or her career to finding oil and gas and making the company a leader in the oil and gas industry. They have gained the use of new technological methods called Seismic Imaging.
Seismic Imaging origin emerged 80 years ago by a company called ExxonMobil. 80 years ago scientists bounced sound waves into the ground and the seafloor. Then Listened with headphones for the sound to return and at what speed the sound returned.
The speed and sounds told the Geoscientists were the dense areas were. Then the scientist had to interpret where the oil formations were. However, scientists and technological advancements give the
Geoscientists receive clear 3D images or the oil and gas deposits. Scientists can see underground and under the sea floor. Structures such as rock formations, water deposits, and the vital oil formations show up on the equipment screen.
Talos Energy Inc. Implements the seismic imaging to find the oil whether it be on land, shallow waters, or deep underneath the sea floor. The 3D equipment still uses sound waves and mathematical formulas. Also, sensitive monitors and gauges add clarity to the images the Scientist and Engineers see on the screen.
Therefore, there is no waste of time or resources for drilling dry unproductive wells. Talos Energy Inc. uses the 3D imaging finding new sites to drill while current wells produce oil daily.
Test wells and sites that do not produce oil cost valuable time, money and resources. There is no longer guessing or hoping they hit oil or get false readings.
It will use three stages of the seismic imaging process. Processing- Use of sound waves shot into the seafloor or the ground. The scientist receives the results, records results, and reading or interpreting the results. They must do these three steps to find the oil.
The scientist strives to further improve the 3D imaging equipment into 4D capability. Thus allowing Talos Energy Inc. to find more oil deposits the world depends on for daily necessities.
