The Success of Waiakea Water Company

Waiakea water has been working with Pump Aid, a charity aimed at giving the community clean water of about 650 liters. The charity has gifted many needy people clean and safe water, and around 3,200 Elephant Pumps. By statistics, for each bottle sold, 650 liters of clean water is given to needy people; this accounts to about 500 million liters of water to date.

According to Organic Authority, the success of Waiakea water Company is exceptional because it has grown by over 4000 percent since it was established in 2012. The company has had an annual growth rate of 170%, and has moved from 2,304 cases to 122,400 similar cases in a duration just short of four years.

This is motivated by faster signing in by distributors and larger scale players like the Whole Foods. The company, as of October 2015, was valued at $10 million.

The journey to success has, however, not been very easy; older people, compared to Ryan Emmons’ age of 22, owned most of the companies when he joined. Ryan described the journey as a challenge because when he was new in the business, people were not willing to give him time to develop. He is grateful for his success so far.
